Well, today was my first day at my new Job at a Financial Group. I always have disliked first days of school and jobs. It is always awkward, there are a million new things hitting you at once, and you almost always feel overwhelmed with how your day just went. Needless to say, I am glad I got my first day over with. It was a lot of training and I know I have more to come, but over all it was successful and I think I will enjoy it.
However, today was a big change for me. I had a schedule to follow, places to be, things to do before the clock hit 5 pm. I haven’t worked for 3 months, not by choice, but due to life’s uncertainties. Gone are my days spent with my friends Ellen, Dr. Phil, and Oprah. Here are the days that carry a purpose, have structure, make me more productive, and allow us to pay rent, haha.
The day was good, Matt was great! He picked me up from work and told me I could pick wherever I wanted to go to eat dinner. It was fun, and when we got home he had left a note saying congradulations. I hope more good days follow.
As your Mom, You make me so proud. I’m still trying at age 53 to accompolish what you have done at age 23! Love you with all my heart.
Hey Kiddo, Mom sent me this email that pointed me to your blog. Well, that first day of a new job is over and now you will relax and produce. I am glad theat things work out and you proved that you have your parents determination. Now get to work, think, be productive. and excell. An employer always moves up a motivated and great person. I miss you and will see you in a week or so. Love ya, DAD
Welcome back!
I’m glad you’ve got something to do! Even if finances don’t exactly make your heart skip a beat, I think it’ll be good for you to be out and about in your community. Nina’s kinda in the same spot. We think she’s gonna start working a couple shifts a week in the Joe’s drive-thru on North Main. Should be good for her, even though she can’t stand coffee…
Peace!
I feel for ya! When I lived it Boulder, I worked in dowtown Denver and had to take the bus everyday! Definitely an experience. I’m glad to hear you are doing so well! I miss you! We’ll have to talk soon…we still want to come up and see you guys soon!
